Sucker!!
This is Nene, Kelly's little girl. As you can tell by the pic, she is trying to feed my Bubba. He wants no part of this. She won't take "no" for an answer. You see, Bubba HATES sharing food. He will only share a drink with me if we get two straws and even then he has a hard time with it. He won't eat my "leftovers" when we go out to dinner and he hates when people try to eat off of his plate. If someone does he will not eat anything else. That is why these pics are soo funny to me! Bubba adores Neno! From the minute she was born, I'd have to say that that is when he decided he wanted to be a dad NOW!! As you can tell, she's trying to cram the goldfish into his trap, but it ain't workin! She gave up for a minute and then put her thumb on his chin, pushed down and said "opah", for open. Still didn't work.
Then she did the head tilt and gave him the look that said "you know I'm cute, I know I'm cute, now open up Mister!" And, he did. Just with a head tilt and the flutter of her long eyelashes she got him to eat her food....her slobber all over her hand from eating and all. See, he loves her!
What I'm trying to say is this: Kelly, pack up the kids and Tyso, it's time to come home!! I need to see my kids. Tell Dana and Jack, sorry, but Aunt Holly needs her fix. I'm pretty sure I'm having "empty nest syndrome" since Mary moved out today. I downloaded pics from my camera and saw these and got really lonely for the kiddies. I need the snuggles from Neno and I'm desparate to hear Sim-o crack up at himself!!
Just so everyone out there in blogosphere knows.....Kids absolutely LOVE Bubba. I haven't quite figured out why yet. He's sooo tall. When I was a kid tall men scared the bejezzus out of me!! Men, in general, scared me. All kids love him though not just Sim-o and Nene. All 17 of our nieces and nephews go nuts over him. It's the craziest thing! They climb on him like he's a jungle gym. When we go over to Kelly and Tyson's house, Sim-o ALWAYS gives him a hug and his token pat on the back.....willingly. I have to work for that kind of attention from him. It's not fair. However, I'm glad kids love him soo much (he loves them too) cuz I know he's gonna be an awesome dad someday!!

Isn't is amazing how kids can manipulate us with their cuteness? I'm always amazed when I tell my nephews no to something, and then they do something obscenely cute and invariably get their way.
I always wonder at what age I lost that capacity... I mean I know I still wield that power over my mother, but I've lost it on pretty much all others...
Calm down.
I'll be home on Saturday night and you won't even be in town.
I know what you mean though....
I'm ready to get outta Dodge!.
Ohhhhawwww... too cute.
this post puts your disapointment today more in perspective.
I hope you get a visit from those kiddos soon! :)
