Update
I realized that I haven't posted about my acupuncture lately....so, I'm gonna put you through boring hell for a moment. My acupuncturist has figured out what is wrong with me and why I haven't gotten pregnant. She believes that I have a "luteal phase defect" (this is what it is called in western medicine). This is a lot better than my diagnosis of "unexplained infertility" that my regualr doc gave me. Believe it or not, this came as a great relief to me to know that something IS wrong with me and its not all in my imagination and I just need to "not think about it". Now that she has figured it out, she is now fixing it through more chinese herbs and a very lame diet she has me on. Basically this lovely "defect" that I have affects the luteal phase of my cycle (this phase is when your endometrium layer of the uterus gets ready to latch on to the egg so it can be fertilized...at least that is my understanding). This phase needs to be 14 days and with me it is not. My periods have been 23-26 days apart!! It sucks! I feel like I'm on my period or PMSing ALL the bloody time (no pun intended). However, this past month she has cured it! I went 31 days before my period came for a visit. Hopefully, it will be the same this coming month as well. Keep your fingers crossed for me. If acupuncture doesn't cure my infertility at least she has cured my nasty period of days and days of terrible cramping, diarrhea and vomiting. She has also cured me of my back pain. So, for that I am grateful.
As for the update on Bubba's diet......he hasn't done it, so he must not be serious about traveling around the world. I will credit him with running twice a week though....however there have been no results.

Oh honey, that's so hard. I know how horrendous pukey, feverish cramps can be. And I can't imagine going through what I imagine that you've gone through while trying to get pregnant. Good luck.
A word of encouragement, though - A doctor once upon a time told my mother that she was incurably infertile, and she should stop trying - then my mom said, dumbass, read my file, I've got a five year old, I'm not infertile, I just need help. Then the doctor gave her a bunch of medicine, and along came my siter, then me, then my other sister!
I researched luteal phase defect when I was having trouble conceiving... if you haven't already done so, check your progesterone levels...I don't produce enough progesterone and therefore have LONG cycles, typically 31-35 days, and I would guess that I don't even ovulate about half the time- progesterone deficiency leads to seemingly missed periods and pregnancy symptoms because the estrogen builds up but no egg was released to be fertilized. It's been a while, but the luteal phase defect and progesterone problems as a whole are very subtle and most doctors won't take the time to find out if this is what's amiss, they'll usually wait until you've had multiple miscarriages or tried for over three years. I feel for you, I know how frustrating trying to conceive can be. I was doing the freaky temperature-taking-mechanical-sex thing for a long while- almost two years- before I gave up, then got pregnant while *imagine this* I was on birth control pills to regulate my long non-ovulating cycles. Anyway, sorry for the run-on...love your blog, your sis did a wonderful job on the design. And in blog world there is no such thing as TMI.... sending procreational wishes your way....
Thank you Marcia and Christa.
Christa- thanks for the info. The acupuncturist gave me progesterone cream to rub into my tummy during my luteal phase also.....so we'll see. thanks again.
