Mornings

I just hate mornings.

I hate waking up to my alarm clock. I want to wake up when I'm ready to wake up. Since I have to wake up to that damn thing 5-6 days out of the week, I am always grumpy when I get up.

I'm not one of those people who wake up with a smile on their face and a skip in their step. I'm the type you stay the hell away from. And the worst thing you can say to me in the morning is "Good Morning"!!! Bubba learned early on not to talk to me in the morning until I start talking. Otherwise, he will get a verbal beating.

I have been known to occasionally call in sick at work because I can't get my ass out of bed. I have my clock set 20 min. ahead and set my alarm 1 hr. before I'm suppose to get up. And, that still doesn't help.

I started showering in the evening just so I could sleep in just a bit longer. If it's raining and nasty outside (which it has been....in the 20's at night, which is brrrr cold for us Californians) it immediately puts me in a bad mood. You would think that this would get better as I get older but it hasn't. It is hard for me to fake it at work in the morning. I'm suppose to be all nice and happy for patients and it is difficult.

I am usually late to work just about everyday.....this has always been a problem for me. Every job I've had, I get warnings for being late all the time. I've never gotten fired because of it though.

How do I overcome this? I have no clue. Can you? My mom says I've always been like this. I've tried all those stupid tips they give you in magazines and they don't work for me. Advice....anyone, anyone??

I wish I had some good tips for you, but I don't. I used to be the same way, now I'm up WAAAAAAAAY before the sun during the week! The weekends, however, are a whole different story...LOL
