Just Stick A Pillow Over It

So, Bubba's snoring is OUT OF CONTROL!! I can't handle it much longer. The sick thing is, I can't go to sleep unless he's in bed and snoring lightly. He no longer snores lightly....it is soooo loud, I can't sleep. The past few nights after trying to shake him awake, and being unsuccessful cuz he is that out of it....I stick a pillow over his head hoping to muffle the sounds. It helps a little and I must admit when its really bad, I fight the urge to smother him......did I just say that? No, not cute, innocent me?!?!? I eventually fall asleep and then I'll wake up to the obnoxious snoring.....it reallly is that loud. The good thing is that when I wake up in the morning I'm still happy to see him even though he kept me up all night....I'm not to the point where I want to punch him yet. I'm on my way to being like my Mom though and that's scary. My parents are old slippers now and I never want to be old slippers.

Maybe you need to sleep with earplugs like Mom. I think you should post a description about what it is to be "old slippers".

holly i have felt your pain every night since i have been married. steven snores so amazingly loud. every night there are a sequence of events are i push him and say roll over a million times. eventually i fall asleep. the best scenario for me is to go to bed when he starts snoring on the couch and fall asleep before him. that is my best bet. i oddly (only in the middle of the night) feel very offended when he snores. it is like a personal attack to keep me awake. he has gotten louder and louder since we have gotten married. i have heard his dad snore and that doesn't give me very much hope. you can hear him from anywhere in their house. she has never gotten used to it and i am sure that i will not either. i am going to try those breath right strips and hope for the best. sorry for the long comment.

I can't believe that you are almost to the point of our Mother. At least it took her 30ish years of marriage to get to the point that you are already at. Something has got to change or you and Bubba are going to be like Mom & Dad. Scary.

I have no idea what it means, but it sounds bad enough that I am ok with saying, "NO HOLLY! DON'T BECOME OLD SLIPPERS!"

There are lots of solutions you can try, breathe right strips, ear plugs, a dental appliance (the last one is actually REMARKABLY effective...)

Good luck!
